Assessing the Level of Cooperation on Ensuring Sustainable Land Use Management in Naivasha, Kenya Between Water Resource Users Association and Water Resource Authority by Robert M Kibugi | Juniper Publishers Observed conflict between Water Resource Users Association (WRUA) and Water Resources Authority (WRA) on land use management continue to undermine the ability of Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) programs to meet its objectives. The success of some PES programs shows it can attain “win-win” outcomes. The responses of 1143 PES farmers and 235 non-PES farmers interviewed were examined. Regression analysis were used to determine the significant association between the dependent variables, impact of extension officers, cost of agricultural inputs and knowledge of negotiation process, water regulations and protected areas.
